Hello all, Nothing of much interest here, just wanted to share. I painted up a Lancastrian Army for WOTR, using the beautiful Perry 28mm figures, a joy to assemble, and I loved painting them. I painted 12, 24-man units, plus cavalry, and some artillery, wagons, casualty markers, 4ground buildings, the lot! organized into 3 battles, of 4 units, for the excellent 'Bloody Barons' rules. When I lost my job, I had to sell off a lot of my collection, including my favourite army, this one! Now i'm in the process of immigration into the USA, married a local girl, very happy, but my WOTR army is a regret. BUT, joy of joys, the guy I sold it to has agreed to sell me it back!!!!!! (Thanks Nige, TOP bloke!) I'm genuinely very happy! it was my favourite army l ever painted. Now, I'm going to paint up a Yorkist force to oppose it, and introduce my local gaming club in Lexington, KY, to another sort of Civil War! That's it, really, I still have to figure out how to get it here, may have to wait until I visit the UK in the late summer, but, I dont care, I'm very pleased to get my boys back, and just wanted to share! Nice. I love how you've done the water – it looks very realistic! |

That Bug picture, by the way is a statue on the River Seine in Paris, which is at a greater height than any time in living memory, there is a risk of parts of Paris being flooded. |

Do Yorkests shout yeehaa when they charge? No, but they get to add +1 to the combat dice. Glad you got your favorite army back. |

Richard III was a known boating enthusiast, hence the underwater statue. |

The concrete is a bit anachronistic but nice wash effect on that figure. Many have regrets for selling figures; glad you got to reverse that misfortune. |

That Bug picture, by the way is a statue on the River Seine in Paris, which is at a greater height than any time in living memory, No. It has been higher in living memory. "The river level rose to 6.1m (20ft) above it normal height overnight. … The river … has since reached 7.1m in 1955 and 6.18m in 1982." link |

Congrats John! One of my friends and built opposing 15mm sci fi armies a few years ago. He had a similar situation and I purchased his guys with the intent of making sure he still had an army to play with. Helps him out but the reason behind it was without him I didnt have anyone to play with! BTW, where do you play in Lexington? |

Thanks Dan, In Lexington, before I get my man-cellar up and running, I go to the club at Battleforge shop, on Alexandria. It meets on a Tuesday night. I haven't been much, as I'm sorting out my house, but intend to get over there more with my 1/72 WWI planes, and, eventually, my WOTR stuff. Nice people at the store, very friendly, even to foreigners! John |
