Hello all, Nothing of much interest here, just wanted to share. I painted up a Lancastrian Army for WOTR, using the beautiful Perry 28mm figures, a joy to assemble, and I loved painting them. I painted 12, 24-man units, plus cavalry, and some artillery, wagons, casualty markers, 4ground buildings, the lot! organized into 3 battles, of 4 units, for the excellent 'Bloody Barons' rules. When I lost my job, I had to sell off a lot of my collection, including my favourite army, this one! Now i'm in the process of immigration into the USA, married a local girl, very happy, but my WOTR army is a regret. BUT, joy of joys, the guy I sold it to has agreed to sell me it back!!!!!! (Thanks Nige, TOP bloke!) I'm genuinely very happy! it was my favourite army l ever painted. Now, I'm going to paint up a Yorkist force to oppose it, and introduce my local gaming club in Lexington, KY, to another sort of Civil War! That's it, really, I still have to figure out how to get it here, may have to wait until I visit the UK in the late summer, but, I dont care, I'm very pleased to get my boys back, and just wanted to share! Good, I'm so glad my boys are getting some action! Planning my Yorkist Army, when I clear enough space for a painting area, amidst the new-house boxes, and assorted jetsam! John |
