"…While speaking to Loaded to promote his latest film ‘The Nice Guys', producer Joel Silver discussed the possibility of rebooting or reviving ‘The Matrix' with Warner Bros and the Wachowskis. Surprisingly, he revealed that there have been no talks yet, but Silver remains optimistic that more stories from that world could be told:…" See here link Amicalement Armand |

No, got boring fast, super CGI and a worn-out trope is not good viewing, see Valerian post above for something fresh and fun. |

No. After the first one they weren't very exciting. |

The Matrix was amazing. Too bad they didn't make any sequels. |

Only if they can work star wars, avengers, batman and harry potter into the storyline. |

Not really. The first 'Matrix' was innovative and even revolutionary in the visuals and style departments but once the gimmickry wore out people began to realize there's not much story to it. If you look at the Wachowski brothers (or should I say sisters) body of work as a whole there's really been more misses than hits: 'V for Vendetta,' 'Speed Racer,' 'Cloud Atlas' and 'Jupiter Ascending' were all disappointments. |

I think the Wachowksis do great work and I look forward to more. Lots of sour puss attitudes around here though. |

I would like to, only have the sequels done in a way that followed on from the first one more. So the first one was pretty much perfect. Great movie. Used a poor actor in a way that complimented his lack of emotive skill. I'd put it in the top 10 sci-fi flicks of all time probably. What I wanted from the sequels was the humans to fight the machines both in the Matrix and in the real world. So after Neo kills the mean elf dude he goes around recruiting people and showing off his superhuman skills in the Matrix while the crew of the ship rescue the actual people he frees and start creating an army. Neo can help them not get caught in the second film by diverting the machines away by some form of hacking or keeping them tied up in rebooting the Matrix. Kind of a superhero meets Left Behind thing going on in the Matrix, while a Terminator thing is going on in the real world. There is some overall objective like some people who are almost like neo. Or maybe like three or six specific people who, together, are even more powerful. So then the third of the trilogy is them going on the offensive in the real world and kicking the machines butt, while one of the three or six is kind of thinking about working with the machines and they have to have it out with him all superhero style. I'd watch that or really anything that had more fighting in the real world in the sequels. |

Hell No! Since The Matrix the Wachowskis stuff has precipitously gotten worse – and the second two films were trash although I did like the final battle from an aesthetic standpoint. |

If they can do it without CGI, I'd give it a chance. |

If they can do it without stupid dance-orgy scenes and with some real actors, I'd think about it. But I was so disappointed with the sequels that I would be highly skeptical of any new effort. Frankly, the only good film they've made since the original Matrix was "V for Vendetta". Everything else has been garbage. |

The sequels have been consigned to the same extra-dimensional wastebin as the Highlander sequels, Aliens 3 & 4, the Star Wars Holiday Special, and all the Star Trek movies filmed between 1993 and 2008. |

All in all I enjoyed the Matrix series, but you guys make some great points. By mid 2nd film, it was "G D this.." "G D that.." It started to sound like a 12 yr old written the script, or a moron that could not think of anythng remotely intelligent to say. The FX were cool, but they can only carry a movie so far. I agree w/ *Dynaman, the final battle looked great. And I would have enjoyed seeing more various hovercraft, but thats all CGI and FX. Final Thought.. I dont think its a question of IF. Look at Hollywood now, I'd bet its just a matter of WHEN they simply reshoot or ReBoot the entire series. |
