A friend shared this link with me.

Looks pretty good. Wonder if they look that clean "in the flesh" (so to speak)?

Interesting. Quality's not much worse than some metal kits you see, really…

Personally, given the amount of your own time you spend on preparation and painting, I think its worth spending a little more up front for quality.

Interesting. First I've ever seen of them. I wonder how long they've been in business?

Gaming Models kinda fills a niche for "economy" 15mm WWII,
maybe this lot is going to step up for more recent kit.

Will bookmark, and watch with interest……

I have sent off for some 28mm stuff, wish me luck.

Muerto03 Jun 2016 4:39 a.m. PST

Good luck, sir. Report back how it goes; they have some nice stuff.

If they read this, I hope they do what no-one else has: a 15mm Isherman that isn't terrible.

Definitely let us know, they don't look that bad, and he has a cheap T-64 which is tempting.

Yet another call to let us know how they are.

Looking across their range (6-28mm), it shows the exact same vehicles, with the exact same pictures, but differing prices (0.55£ for 6mm, to 18.00-20.00£ for 28mm). This leads me to assume that they use the exact same 3D files to make everything. Can the same files be scaled like that to make good quality models? I thought that for 3D printing, the detail for a large vehicle (ie in 28mm) would mess up the printing of a smaller vehicle (ie 6mm). Maybe I am mistaken.

Just seems like a red flag to me, but again, I am not too sure how this newfangled tech works, and they could just be using the same pictures to identify (visually) the different vehicles :\

Looks nice.

@SovietCanadian: Yes and no. You can scale up or down models with ease, but the resolution of the printer would require you to thicken or eliminate details on 6mm models. A handle or tie-down on a 28mm model quickly becomes just a lump on a 6mm model, even at 12 to 15 micron resolution.

SovietCanadian03 Jun 2016 9:23 p.m. PST

@javelin98: Thanks for clearing that up for me. I suppose there isn't enough fine details to create issues for the 6mm versions.

Sent off for 3 15mm T-64s on Sunday and picked them up from the Post Office a couple of hours ago. Nice little models, fairly detailed, the top of the turret shows a pattern from the manufacturing but a coat of paint will cover it fine. 10 mins to remove the printer supporting material and probably another 10 mins to tidy it up with a file and all done.

I'll certainly buy some more and probably some T-55s as well. Fairly cheap and does the job nicely. Now, Chieftain Stillbrew? Leopard 1A5? Hmm … pretty please?

gunnerphil08 Jun 2016 2:20 p.m. PST

Thank you for that. Will get some.

My 28mms arrived today, T28, BT64 and 2 bren carriers, 2 mortars. Clear castings some roughing on the underside. Well pleased

Interested to hear how they take paint.
