A composite battalion of infantry ("Irish Picquets") comprising detachments from each of the regiments of the Irish Brigade fought at the battle of Culloden in 1746 and helped cover the retreat of the Jacobite Army.

The figures represent the following regiments:

Berwick:- White facings and linings, waistcoat and breaches

Dillon:- black facings and linings, red waist coat and breaches

Roth:- blue facings and linings, blue waist coat and breaches

Lally:- green cuffs, green waist coat, white linings and breaches

They are Front Rank figures from a job lot on eBay, and yes I know they didn't have a flag but there was a standard bearer…..I had a flag…….

Very nice! Love the Irish Brigade – my SYW French army has Lally, Roth and Berwick

Great job – and you gotta have a flag!

Handsome fellows!

And any doubts about them having a flag must surely be settled by the photographic evidence above!

My AWI Guards had a flag 30 years before I learned they shouldn't have one.
Do YOU have the stones to go up to them and try to snip them off the command stand? I think not.

No Winston when I thought about taking their flag away they look at me funny and mutter things that end in 'begorrahh'
