Hello,
As it says, have GW, or Forgeworld, ever made a model of the Emperor of mankind?
I found this, excellent model
coolminiornot.com/96851
But dont know if its a conversion, or not? not near my computer to search loads, driving for ever today!
If they didnt, any ideas for a good base figure as a conversion?
Can anyone help?
Many thanks in advance

John

It could be a conversion, or one of the highly ornate Hitech miniatures. You might find one "as is" that fits the bill: hitechminiatures.com

By GW or Forgeworld? No.
There are a lot of conversions and 3rd party companies, like SciBor who made them

Fool! the God Emperor can never be depicted in miniature form, it is heresy. Inquisitor teams will be entering your system soon, prepare for CLEANSING!

I like the expression on his face: He looks sort of middle-aged.

Wackmole902 Jun 2016 7:38 p.m. PST

You'd looked middle age too . If your frat boy Sons just Wreak your brand new car for a one nighter at the chaos god's sorority house.

I had this one. A friend dropped a coffee can full of figures off on me before moving away and it was in there.

Since I could not be certain if my friend got it as a recast, I could not sell it anywhere.

I threw it away.

john lacour03 Jun 2016 11:25 a.m. PST

So you threw away a figure because you "did'nt know if it was a re cast"?

My bulls@@t meter just went off…

Mardaddy03 Jun 2016 7:26 p.m. PST

Call it what you want.

Site rules for here and Bartertown selling is NO RECASTS.

So to sell it, I am vouching it is NOT a recast, saying "buyer beware" will get the ad pulled.

Let's say it sells.

(Worst case) They then demand a refund because it IS a recast.

I now have to return the $$$, and suffer a bad rep and trashing on the boards for lying or being deceptive.

Not worth it. I have too many other projects I am far more interested in – I tossed it.

SouthernPhantom04 Jun 2016 3:36 p.m. PST

And why didn't you try eBay? In any case, conclusively proving something to be or not be a recast is not possible without destructive testing and materials analysis. Sounds like a lazy maneuver.

That's a damn shame, that figure would've been perfect. Balls.

Ok, I've found this lovely chap on E-Bay,

auction

Lotsa Eagles, very ornate, I know the Emperor was in normal power armour for the assault on Horus barge, but, as its for Space Hulk, I like the look of this. I'll drill out the helmet, add a bare head, with greenstuff 'emo teenager' lank locks. Lose the 'Chaos leaf-blower' he seems to be carrying, and add a suitably Epic sword.

Ok, he's on his way, I've aquired a shed load of the original Imperial Army figures, some ready painted Imperial fist Space marines, its all coming together for a Space Hulk 'Assault on Horus's Barge' game later in the year.

My only real deserter is now Sanguinius, the top dog of the Blood Angels, I need a suitably angelic fugure for him, wings 'un all.

Any thoughts? ideas?

Well, as I'm having this discussion on my own, (have SO many people got me stifled?) lol.

I found this chap, he looks suitably Sanguiniusllyness!
