Me and a friend have started working armies for the War of Spanish Succession. He is starting with the Grand Alliance and I am doing the French (and later Bavarians)

We are doing all this in the 15mm scale, my favourite scale to paint because I can finish something in an evening.

The blog is over at: orderoftheelephant.blogspot.com

Hope you guys enjoy our posts and the way the project will develop!

A good start. What rules do you plan to use?

Nice work. Looks like a base for "Beneath the Lily Banners."

Great work, especially in 15mm

Sorry. Can't seem to access your blog

Hey guys, thanks for the comments! Figures are by Khurasan, rules we will use are the Honours of War by Osprey (to start off with..)

I don't know what went wrong with the link to the blog, but here is it again: orderoftheelephant.blogspot.nl

Hope this one does work.

What size are those bases? Are they 40mmX30mm or close to it?

Edzard03 Jun 2016 12:11 p.m. PST

Yep Yogi, they are 40x30mm

That is how I started basing mine, then I have had second thoughts that I needed to squeeze the frontage down to 10mm per figure, but your shots reassure me that 3x3 on a 40x30mm base does indeed look as good as I thought it would.
