Has anyone ever tried ordering and building one of these Korean kits from eBay? How would it go with 28mm figures?

Looks very interesting … HO/1:87 …

If it really is HO/1:87, it'd be rather small for 28mm figures. This would mostly show up in door sizes, gamers tend to have horribly undersized buildings.

It would probably work just fine as a backdrop terrain piece for army battles where you don't plan to have individual miniatures running around inside the buildings. For skirmish games, 1:87 would be a bit on the small side, yes.´

E: I especially like their tiles, and would buy loose sheets of that tiling in a second if I find it.

I've been contemplating buying these kits for a while now. If they truly are HO scale then they should work very nicely with most 15mm lines, but I'm afraid they would be dwarfed by 28mm figures.

There are also 1/40 scale kits from what I assume is the same maker, but those are too big. It's a real Goldilocks dilemma here! :)

I built the house alone and the wooden parts go together well. Its perfect for 15mm figs. The only downside is the roofing material. Its a sheet of textured rubber that you cut out with templates you need to be careful as you only get one shot at it! I havent painted mine yet but should look goodon the table. Its currently in a box somewhere after a move to a new gaming room. Definitely for 15mm or 18mm max.

Some nice stuff there (nice HO-scale Old West stuff too, of all things), though maybe a bit pricey.

But coolest of all are 1/100 and 1/60 Korean turtle ships!

The 1/60th turtle ships would probably do for 28mm. But the price – a bit steep for my wallet.

I use them for 28mm. Not correct scale, but good for representative terrain. Good for Imjin War and China. Biggest problem for me was painting them. That wood really absorbs water based paint and requires several coats.

Bought one of those turtle boats but haven't built it for fear of screwing up. It also isn't designed for wargaming so you can't remove the roof once you put it together.
