Except how big a ship do you need to power if? More along the line of "How big a ship do you need to CARRY it?" It is, after all, 38 feet long! It would probably need to be fix-mounted like the Wave Motion Gun which would limit its usefulness. |

Unless they've found some way to keep the "barrel" from frying itself after several shots, it's still a waste of money… It's not a "electro-magnetic rail gun" – it's a "electro-static rail gun". That fact makes a big difference in atmosphere. In space, it would probably work pretty good, except for the recoil effect pushing your ship backwards. |
