Has anybody tried En Garde for ECW skirmish? If you have what are your thoughts?

Although quite a fun game it is very luck dependant unless the characters are widely different in their strengths.

We expanded the game to cover a scenario that required maps and firearms. It worked out ok but it requires you to make up a lot of rules that D&D or Traveler already have. Such as tactical movement, damage effects, armor etc, etc, etc.

The basic combat system is man on man (fencing): adding a lot of additional characters slows it down.

Love the game though…..
