Not sure if it's the right section but, are there any maker of 20mm ACW casualties in metal out there that mix with 1/72? I've ordered some of the Newline designs range, they look ok but are there other good casualty figures out there? Are there any 25mm scale models that might work?

Stone Mountain used to make plenty. See if you cn track some down. I know that someone has the SM molds, but I've no idea who.

you could try the ykreol plastic ones ?

figures from Schilling seem to only 28mm scale? The 1/72 scale categories for the ACW is empty. Hope they make 1/72 versions of those 28mm because they look great.

Ykreol has those bases around them but I guess they could be cut off..

Appologies, Confederate Swede. They are 28mm.

You asked for metal…but it's not too hard to convert selected plastic 1/72 figures as casualties. Poses with arms outstretched (waving musket and yelling, for example) or carrying the musket at port arms or charge work best. Cut off the musket, slice the figure off his base, lay him face down. Sometimes you can re-arrange the limbs a bit if you heat the figure up by boiling it in water for a while. One box of multi-pose plastics should give you plenty of material to experiment with.

Musket Miniatures have some. The guy who bought the molds has his website up and items listed. I don't know whether he is doing business as yet as the website isn't fully functional but things are progressing on it so these will obviously be available at some point if not already. The casualties can be found on the following two pages

I've tried Musket Miniatures before, and to be honest their figures, including casualties aren't the quality I'm looking for. Though I probably will buy other stuff from them, their artillery pieces were awesome.

I've made lots of conversions from plastics before, but they never look quite right in the end.
