Most of my Indian Mutiny figures are from Iron Duke but I also have a few sets of Mutineer Miniatures.
Both are very good, the latter slightly taller an beefier than the former, but one of the Mutineer packs baffles me somewhat.
The figures are supposed to be sepoys in regulation dress but their jackets are without any lace on their chest and without tails or turnbacks. It looks like a shell jacket but with laced cuffs and laced collar.
Any idea where I could find a reference to this jacket?
Thanks for any help!

They are probably wearing plain, white jackets for hot weather.

Thanks Doc Ord.
On the Mutineer website they are shown as red however.
And I'm almost sure the white undress/stable jackets didn't have laced cuffs or collars.
But I have to admit I never saw such a white hot weather jacket.
Oddly enough the AW miniatures site shows exactly the same jacket.

If the cuffs have lace then the sculptor made an error and left off the coat tails and chest lace. You are right--the white jackets would be plain. You might could add some paper coat tails. The weapon is in error as well-no barrel bands on the smoothbore sepoy musket--none had the Enfield.

I was afraid of that. I might try to paint them as rifle company men, but of course the Brunswick rifle had no barrel bands either, and a sword bayonet.
Adding Magic Sculp or paper coat tails would be easily done but I'm baulking at the idea of chest lace.

Perhaps if I remove the cuff , collar and shoulder strap details I could paint them white.
