So I was reorganizing my shelves and decided to do a quick count of how many rulebooks I actually have acquired over some 35 years of gaming.
198 rulebooks!
Okay, I was a bit surprised, since this did not count any PDF's.
Breakdown:
Ancients: 24
Medieval: 18
Renaissance: 27
Horse and Musket: 55
WWI-WWII-Modern: 20
Scifi: 37
Fantasy: 17
So tell me I'm not alone, that this is quit common.

Not gonna do it, since that could lead to madness, and/or regret.

Better not to know.

Turn away now, don't go down that dark path. Chuthulu waits for you there.

Is your " Horse and Musket" category a catchall? Would have expected to see Napoleonics as a separate category.

Four crates of rules plus stacks. Crates are the ones I access regularly for game ideas.

Can't count them all right now because company over for dinner soon.

Great, now you have me paranoid!

Similar story here. I kept coming across rulebooks everywhere, decided to consolidate them all in one handy box.

By the time box three was full, I was saying "Uh-oh…"

How can you sit there idle and not buy two more rules sets to make it 200??? evil grin

Yeah the Horse and Musket was everything from SYW to 1900.
I should have broken them up but it was an impetuous count.
The rules are broken up into two sections, the vast majority being the ones I have not played in years or never have played. About 30 are in my in use section.

200? Well of course I shall, but I'm putting some thought into it.

I'm sure I've got at least a dozen rule sets or so.

I currently possess one miniatures wargaming rulebook, which I have been using happily for the past five years. That's it!

I had no idea so I just went and did a very quick count: about 180 (15 SF and the rest split roughly between Ancients/Medieval and WW2). This does not include PDFs, which would at least triple this number.

You are not alone.

I've got well under a hundred. Well, under a hundred.
