I've just been browsing the I-94 store and although the news section hasn't been updated in over a year checking the model list there was a surprise – the B17G is available.

Anybody got one or more?

I don't have one but I was alittle confused by the topic because Raiden was a Japanese land based fighter so having that word in front of a B17G didn't make much sense to me.

Saw them at the I-94 booth at Little Wars… really nice.

Raiden is the manufacturer

I've had a conflict of soul thinking between getting some Raiden Minis B-17G's or getting some from GHQ. I've always been a Raiden fan, and their planes are some of the best, for a good price. I have many, many Raidens painted up :)

But a few (NOT ALL!) of the newer models seem to be made by sculptors who have less attention to detail. The photos of the Raiden B-17G show a mostly lineless model, making me think about getting GHQ's planes, even if they are expensive and require assembly. Maybe it's the photos that don't show well the details. GHQ doesn't model wing panel lines either, but their details like cowling flaps, windscreens, turrets, etc. seem crisper. And they have ribbing on the elevators and ailerons.

I join Timmo seeking any of you who has bought Raiden Minis B-17's, that can share their opinion and maybe some photos.

Comment #2 – "Raiden is the manufacturer"

I'm confused. The Japanese aircraft industry built B17s for the USA?!?

LOL!
