OK, inspired by another thread, I ask my fellow TMPers: What if, the "ancient astronaut theorists" on the show "Ancient Aliens" got together and compiled a coherent, "official" setting book based on their "theory", including a timeline of how the aliens manipulated our DNA and history, details on the various factions (including the Anunnaki, the Greys, the Reptilians, the Ant People, the Watchers, etc.), and published it under Osprey's label? The book also comes with a selection of scenarios with suggested orbats for the alien factions, and maps based on the various archaeological sites (which we ALL know were built with alien technology…). Will you buy a copy? What if Northstar releases an official "Ancient Aliens" range of figures? Nickstarter supporters get a "Nickstarter Only" figure of Giorgio Tsoukalos! Is such a thing even possible? TMPers say: …? |

They would probably get the facing colors wrong and the helmets too. |

I think that asking a sculptor to get Giorgio's hair correct might be asking too much of any man. |

Book would depend on how coherant their 'official history' is and the artwork / interpretation inside. If there were quality sculpts in 28mm I would get the minis. |

I'd buy it for ideas and inspiration. If there's a supporting line of miniatures, I'd go for it. |

Osprey books are pure crap. They are the "Harlequen Romances" of history. This of course means that their fantasy-sci-fi would probably match history closely. |

I love ancient aliens – Von Danekin & Jack Kirby make for an awesome combination. I would buy this if it existed. I'm more and more impressed by Ospreys Wargames & non-historical stuff (although I thought the Myth series was a bit lightweight) having originally been a bit doubtful. I was wrong! |

H.E. double hockey sticks Yes! I'd buy it not only for its gaming potential but for its organization of all the theories under one cover. |

But wouldn't that contradict the newly released Stargate Campaigns Vol III Book? |

I would consider buying such a book, especially if geared toward providing background info for games. The Atlantis title, set in the late Bronze Age, is great fun. I've also bought several of Osprey's other mythological series – Dragon Slayers, Troy, and the Argonauts. I find these titles informative and full of details though only 46 pages. |

If it is as well done as the Troy and Argonaut books, then yes, I would. |

Actually, there already is a book sorta like that. Recent. Something about the OSS/CIA's battle against aliens, chapters are by decade. Was at On Military Matters. Had lots of photos with 'alien' interpretations. Sorry, can't remember title. |
