I recently painted up an Imperial Knight titan for my local store's big 40k mega battle!

Looks great. Thanks for putting that up there. You did a great job on the heraldry and it looks like you put some thought into the background as well. I'll look forward to some narrative AARs in the future. |

WOW! Very impressive. I like that a lot. Your choice of colour scheme is marvellous. Well done. (When gaming with a Titan, what is the ammo situation like? It doesn't look as though a large amount can be stored. Are Titans short duration blitz attack? Do they get resupplied often? What is the tactical advantage of them?) Regardless, you've created a fine piece of art there. |

Thanks for the kind words, folks. @Captain: In game, the titan has enough ammo to last it the game. In fluff terms, there are thousands of rounds of high explosive, armor piercing ammo for the big gun. Missile launcher is what you see and the melta gun is energy based off the reactor. The same goes for the powered fist, and big feet don't run out of ammo. There's a heavy flamer too but it's just used for clearing the occasional chaff so no need for lots of fuel. Titans are used for different purposes based on armament, but they are essentially main battle tanks on legs. Resupply during combat is often a non-issue, because they murder everything or die trying. The tactical advantage is you have a giant, stompy, heavily-armored, mechanized vehicle that ruins everything around them and looks scary. This is 40k. Rule of cool always wins. |
