Remember back in 2005, when I promised pictures of those Sumerian chariot stands in 6mm?

For me it has to be 250 to 200 BCE, Romans, Hellenistics, Carthage, Hispanics, Parthians, Armenians, Celts etc… Etc…

What is your favourite campaign period?

336-146BC. Basically the whole Hellenistic Period.

What handgrenadealien said. Pikes, elephants, cataphracts, scythed chariots, imitation legionnaires, from Egypt to India. Alala!

Late Roman Republic, particularly the campaigns of Julius Caesar.

400 – 600 AD. Huns, Goths, Franks, Romans/Byzantines and Sassanids when I get around to buying and painting them.

… and late Warring State Period in China. Yes jimchris, 250-200 B.C. is also my favourite.

Also A.D. 400-600, vtsaogames.

And I'd like to add Late Bronze Age in Near East: Egyptians, Nubians, Lybians, Canaanites, Amorrites, Hittites, Mittani, Medium Assyrians, Kassite Babylonians, Elamites, people from desert, sea peoples, Trojans, Miceans… I'll never complete painting even half of them.

I like the Late Roman era – roughly 300 – 500, but also I'm enamored of the Late Aegean Bronze Age – Acheans, Trojans, Sea People, Hittites, Egypt, etc.

I agree with "400 – 600 AD. Huns, Goths, Franks, Romans/Byzantines and Sassanids." Especially for multiplayer. Well, at least it's caught my attention lately. But then again Caesar in Gaul for 2-player would grab my attention too.

Right now, I'm working playing a solitaire campaign using the board game Imperator. Would love to use GMT's Rise of the Roman Republic as a campaign system some day.

Classical Greece, Republican Rome, Arthur.
