Thanks for the comparison shots! 3D printing is getting there. The pebbly finish or "stair-step" layers evident on some earlier work prevented me from getting some of these.

The pebbly finish I don't like as the only way to deal with it is to paint many many layers of paint (as I had to do for my Boar-hound armoured cars). The layer effect can be sanded relatively easily at least for CDG, although I don't like making resin dust as not good for you!
