Looks great. Shame it wasn't the Brits next, but its not like I wasn't going to buy a mess of these.

I wonder what will make the Germans different than the Americans?

They need some sort of national characteristic.

Old Wolfman27 May 2016 6:52 a.m. PST

Nice, even the fiddly bits look OK.

An open hatch, but no command figure?

Jemima Fawr27 May 2016 9:56 a.m. PST

They usually do crew figures in metal.

The smoke-dischargers seem to be missing from the sprue, though they're pictured on the finished models.

Single Malt27 May 2016 11:57 a.m. PST

Smoke dischargers probably on 2 panels below gun to the left of the mgs. They'll be the turret rear sides, as their lengths correspond to each side of that s3ction of the turret.

Ah yes, so they are. Cheers SM.

Are these A3/A4s?

GeoffQRF28 May 2016 2:30 a.m. PST

For 1985/86, more likely Leopard 2A2 or 2A3.

If you are thinking of Leopards for Canadians, you want the Leopard 1A3

There's excellent info on who had what types of Leopard in this thread: TMP link

The earliest I can find Leopard 2A4s in units is January 1986, when they were on exercise in REFORGER.

I've been pretty happy with all the plastic sprews for Team Yankee so far.Glad to see the Leopard will be in the offering which means British kit is on the way as well at some point.

Poles,Czechs,and GDR possibly too?
