Looks very nice. I like the course texture of the cloth.

Thanks

It is just dust cloth from a local DIY merchant, really cheap.

Does my computer have a rendering problem?

The first photo which you call a "simple khaki green" is rendering light gray. The second "three more colors later, a light green" is the light gray of the first but with splotches of light green on it.

In the game layouts it is the same. The result is actually very interesting visually since the ground could be light snowfall or arid.

Anyway great game layouts. Nice work!

The first colour was a khaki, the second a paler khaki, the third a grey and the fourth the light green. It was applied with a brush, leaving marks and splodges.

It looks really green side on, arid straight over and close too it has great texture – so win all round!!!

I intend to give it another green coat and get it more in line with my figure bases

What type of paint are you using?

A couple of sample pots of each colour from the DIY store of normal matt wall paint
