Was excited by this until I realised that they were all in summer uniforms. Thought I might have the Winter War figures that I've been waiting for. Oh well maybe another time. Good luck with the project anyway.

These figures look great!

What rules would you recommend for these 28mm figures and the 1939 Nomonhan / Khalkin Gol conflict?

What do the Mongol infantry look like? I didn't see a picture of it.

Nice! Really looking forward to this release. I've taken an interest this past year in Nomonhan/Khalkin Gol.

I would use the Disposable Heroes rules. I have not seen the new edition of the rules

The battles were fought in 90 degree and higher weather so the summer uniforms are appropriate.

Keeping in mind that the battle for Nomonhan/Khalkin Gol was the largest armor engagement up to that point in time the rules need to be able to handle that. Given that the armor on both sides was primarily armored cars, light tanks and tankettes that is not a major hassle. Our group has played it using Iron Cross and found it worked well. The only issue being Iron Cross doesn't have the stats for these forces so it takes a bit of simple work to write them in.

Jlundberg: That's because they are currently being written :)

Didn't say that the uniform was inappropriate for the proposed theatre of war. The headline just showed dates which covered the period I'm interested in for the ground war, hence my disappointment to find that they would not be suitable for me, especially as they look so good.

9 days left, but we're not at 50%. Perhaps there isn't interest in this time period?

What am I going to do with all these piles of BA-20 and FA-1 model kits??

Hi all,

We can't say that we are not disappointed that we haven't funded as of yet. Everyone involved put a lot of time and money into the project.

We have added a bunch of add-ons as clearly we were not going to make any of the stretch goals. So each of the components can now be added to your pledge or you can get more of an item (like an HMG). We also broke out the AFVs as an add-on. Note that for the KS we are limited to 35 sets of AFVs. AFVs in the Hero of the Soviet Union pledges will get priority on the AFVs. We also added the ability to get most of our Japanese range (except for the ragged Japanese and tank hunters which are not appropriate) at a 20% discount.

As with any add-on add the appropriate amount for those extras to your pledge as you can adjust it anytime before the KS ends. We will send a form around after the KS ends to tell us what you are spending your pledge on beyond your reward level.

So for those who have inquired here is the plan for the range –

We are having everything completed as we speak. So everyone will get the items in their pledge. AFVs are in-hand already.

For those getting into pledges with Free items, you will now get those items as there are no more stretch goals to make that happen. Those who want to add those items to your pledge can do so by upping your pledge by the amount of that add-on.

*** If we do not make the $7,000 USD funding goal, we will be contacting you directly and offer the same reward deal with the free minis (if your level qualifies). If occurs, this will be a one-time chance to get these items at these prices. ****

Of course no matter what we are committed to producing these miniatures and getting them to backers on time.

If there are any questions, ask away.

Thanks

Lon
