I have been wanting to switch temporarily "Winston Smith" to "N S Rubashov", but I'm afraid some tinky winky will then steal my moniker.

Or, more in line with your concern, donate it to the person you think is most likely to use it in a way you would like. Or just let the Winston Smith account sit unused and start another with a name you like. |
