I picked up a box of the new Warlord Spec Ops moderns. Ive got lots of left over weapons – any ideas for a 'weapons cache' for an objective marker, etc?

Take a 40mm base, either one of the inset ones or cut the top of a standard one and place plastic card on the bottom.

Toss some weapons in it and paint them up. Paint the bottom as wood or dirt. Maybe place a "rug" or a tarp to wrap the weapons in.

Recreate the top with wooden coffee stirrers as if it was a wooden floor ripped up.

Like this, but with the weapons below the planks

Or just a rug with weapons wrapped in it.

I made one out of some resin crates on a 40mm base with some AK-47 in them and leaned against them with the odd RPG mixed in.

Get a short length of drinking straw.
Split it – cover it roughly with greenstuff, and plug the ends.
Insert a few weapons into the split.
Make a couple of handles from rolled greenstuff.

Duffle bag full of guns!

Scratch build crates, some open others closed, put extra weapons in the open crates..one or two weapons leaning up or laying around.

Put them in the open trunk of an automobile.
