What scale are these figures? More importantly, will they match the Frostgrave figures? |
Norrins | 25 May 2016 5:05 a.m. PST |
Also, where do I go on the website to take advantage of the offer? |

Norrins, they are ~30mm. Depends on how particular you are and how you're using them. In a diorama together they'd look large (The Mountain and the Hound exceptionally so). But on the tabletop, you really wouldn't notice. I have some of them as my command figures in Westerosi retinues for Lion Rampant. Scroll to some older posts to see scale against Perry, which are even more delicate than Fostgrave. dilettantegamer.blogspot.com |

I think the offer may be over, I can see no mention of it on the website |

I rarely disagree with Dilettante Gamer but I find they come in at 30mm++ and are too large to mix with Perry's or even larger 28s. Same as they are great figures – based on books not HBO odd ball art department. I suggest going to DarkSword web site and requesting scaled down versions to mix with other companies. Sometimes they seem on the verge of considering this logical step. Great as stand alone collectables if your just into figures and Ice and Fire. TomT |

Yeah, I'd buy 28mm versions for sure. They're great sculpts. |

I actually agree with Tom T specifically about not mixing with other 28's for general troops. What I didn't make explicit enough is that they are working for me as commanders but I would never add say a bunch of the Night's Watch or those Westerosi archers into other units. I agree, a bunch of those will look odd. However, Jamie Lannister on a sabot with a musician and banner bearer is passable and the "heroic" scale kinda works. Bear in mind, I tend to be fussy about these things and decided, after much agonizing about something so inconsequential, that on the table top at 6' away from the eye, this works – for me. Look at my Lannisters on the site of Steve Dake who painted them to see what I mean about Jaimie on a command sabot with two other Perry HYW metal figs. link |
