For me I'm very glad that they are keeping her name as a carrier and they haven't downgraded her to a Wasp class amphibious assault ship as they have done with so many of the old venerable carrier names (like USS Wasp). |

Other than it ruining several Trek reference sheets and books I own with the lineage of the (star ship) Enterprise* laid out, this is a nice idea, I think. Naming ships after political figures (even deceased ones) is always a dodgy call. John T * stating how many ships called "Enterprise" there have/had been. But then JJA already managed to ruin that any way… |
