So who does 15mm Renaissance Swiss flags? My printer isn't up to printing downloadable flags.

Hi Slug

There's the Freezywater Late Medieval Swiss flags and, for completeness, there's the Italian Wars French & Landsknecht flags.

For other readers there's some free Italian Wars Swiss to download too!

If you are talking about Swiss as mercenaries then my understanding is that they didn't use cantonal flags. In French service they used various flags with the French white cross on a plain red or various striped backgrounds with the number of stripes increasing with time. You can see an example of this in the Pavia tapestry with a white and yellow striped background.

For my 15 mm Swiss in French service, I drew some flags using Excel and printed them out but it wouldn't take much longer to just hand paint such simple designs.

Thanks for that Midlander65 but I'm interested in canton flags for this project.

Hi Slugbalancer (???)

That's good. The Cantonal banners look great – I especially like Berne. I was very disappointed to find that mine had to have boring white crosses.
