I'm always looking to improve my terrain, so I posted a bunch of pics of my latest setup. What do you like? Don't like? How can I improve? link I like realistic, but the board has to stay playable for 15mm Napoleonics, so keep that in mind. All feedback appreciated. |

I think your terrain looks great and seeing that baby dear is pretty neat as well! |

The only way your terrain could look look better is if it was on my gaming table. |

Seems to be a good balance between looks and playability. My only thing is I don't like the hex tree bases. I prefer my trees on more natural irregular bases |

Looks great! I love the little garden and other plant bits near the village houses. Suggestion: use some low turf or scatter material to break up the different fields. Something subtle to suggest field borders. And yeah +1 on hexagonal tree bases: they break the illusion strongly compared to all the other elements. |

I love your terrain. May I suggest that you try placing the hills under the mat. I sometimes use towels and rags to create an undulating effect. I would love to play a game on that table. Bravo! |

Great looking terrain. I disagree with Ben Lucy for the hills. Just because you can identify when a unit is actually on the hill if your rules allow for benefits for being on it, such as Shako 2. It looks a tad crowded to me for a Napoleonic battlefield, unless you are doing a small battle or skirmish. |

Good looking boards. You did a very nice job down-scaling the paper houses from Dave Graffam. I have some of the same ones but in 28mm size. Jim |

I don't think it looks crowded at all. Not all the bits of hedge or foliage along field edges need to give a tactical advantage Sometimes things can be on the tabletop just to look good |

Plenty of texture – looks good. |

Very nice. You can break the outlines of the hexes by putting some bushes afterwards on the edges, tree trunks ( that is pieces of woods picked up during a healthy walk ) Bits of gardens, walls etc. Around the houses that can be part of the zone. |

You have a near perfect balance. Any improvement you make in the area of "realism" will most likely be offset by interfering with play-ability. I would leave it as is. Don't be tempted by Icarus and fly too close to the sun. Kevin |

Very nice, a bit more terrain than I normally have for 18th and 19th century battles, but very nice. I really liked your river and stream tutorials, perhaps I can find some time this holiday weekend. |
