I have just ordered Et Sans Resultat and I want to get started placing orders for my miniatures and bases. I'm going to be building both opposing armies. What is the recommended base sizes for 6mm? How many figures per base ect? |

It is not set-up that way. It is based on scale you will play… You decide what scale you need for your table sizes that your group can do, then place the appropriate figures to that base size. Scale examples 1" = 75 yards so typical 600-750 strong unit would be 2 1/2 or 1" = 150 yards etc- see the website: link Many people will just mount figures 6 to a base and use sabots with appropriate number of bases so multi rules set flexibility is maintained with their collection. Read through the website- many of your questions are answered there. The author will answer shortly since he has done this type of reply many times before. MG |

I plan on playing most games on a 4x6 table at home. I would play "big battles" at my local club on roughly 6x8 tables. Would you then recommend a ground scale of 1:150 yards? What has been the most common ground scale used for 6mm in your experience? |

Alex: Here's what I did. I use 6mm Heroics & Ros figures. All sizes are in mm. For infantry I have Small bases of 30 x 20 (1813 Russian battalions, some French) Medium of 40 x 20 (Majority of Infantry) Large 50 x 20 (Austrians) I can get about 30 figures on the medium base and they look great. Cavalry squadron groups are on 30 x 20 bases as are the artillery. I also use 50 x 20 for my limbers. 3 bases sizes to handle everything. I'll try and post a few pictures soon. Dale |
