Can anyone direct me to some uniform details for the locally raised units that preceded the Kings African Rifles in 1902 ?

The Central Africa Regiment, The Uganda Rifles and the East Africa Rifles.

TIA

Khaki, khaki, and more khaki.

Chris Peers' Foundry books on east and central Africa cover these units and many more.

I like the discussion board link John. Very useful thanks.

Any suggestions for 28mm figures ?

Khaki is true but based on the photos that I saw, belgium askari uniforms had a tint of green to the khaki but that may have been a problem with the photo.
