Depends on the scale and your style. Frankly, I love OG15s for Ancients and they are great value for the money. 1/72 scale – Strelets R makes some awesome figures for various figures. |

Perry, Old Glory, Foundry, North Star. |

Fire and Drum for AWI Knuckleduster for war of 1812. Both are wonderful figures at very reasonable price. Plus great customer service. |

Question is too general: 40mm F&IW – Trident / MSC. 28mm AWI – Fife & Drum. 2Omm WWII – CP Models. 1/200 Aircraft – Armaments in Miniature. |
Bashytubits | 21 May 2016 1:20 p.m. PST |
Perry Miniatures, Sash and Saber and Old Glory/Blue Moon. Pfc in C has comparable quality to GHQ for a pretty good price. |
rustymusket | 21 May 2016 1:20 p.m. PST |
I favor Perrys, Foundry and Conquest for 28mm. Prices? Not sure how to figure that in. |
Militia Pete | 21 May 2016 1:48 p.m. PST |
FOr the value, Old Glory hands down. You get a decent fig and plenty for a bag. Always have been satisfied. While I love Perry and Crusader, they are little more so would not go into the value side. By far, great for command stands. |

Old Glory wins this one for me. I've never been unhappy with their figures once painted. Their Blue Moon line is my go-to line for 15mm historicals. |

Fireforge, Gripping Beast, and Perry |
Stosstruppen | 21 May 2016 3:39 p.m. PST |
15mm – Old Glory 15's 10mm – Pendraken 6mm – Adler I haven't delved into 28's enough to be knowledgeable. |
Dynaman8789 | 21 May 2016 3:44 p.m. PST |
6mm is GHQ, actually GHQ is best hands down. |
45thdiv | 21 May 2016 3:53 p.m. PST |
John Jenkins. They are well sculpted with lots of character and animation. For skirmish games, they can't be beat. They come painted to a high quality. Yes, they are 60mm, but for skirmish games, the price is great. |

Why do we have this insane need to define terms in a TMP poll??? Just shout out the first thing that comes to mind and get a beer. Sheesh. |

28mm Perry are best with many other good ones. I like Artizan, Crusader and Empress. Some Warlord are very good too. 10mm Pendraken |
nazrat | 22 May 2016 7:27 a.m. PST |
"Why do we have this insane need to define terms in a TMP poll???" "We" don't. But a couple of Official TMPedants DO. (Sorry, just came up with that and I HAD to use it. ) |
KSmyth | 22 May 2016 8:12 a.m. PST |
Old Glory. I like the ranges and prices. If I'm in a "willing to spend more" mood and budget, it's Perry. |
Lazyworker | 22 May 2016 8:45 a.m. PST |
Victrix Limited. If you're talking price per figure in a box, Victrix has to be on the list. Excluding that French Line Infantry box (no one wants to put that together) they've made some really good stuff. Looking forward to their elephant release. Old Glory is there too. Even their lower quality ranges paint up okay. |
79thPA | 22 May 2016 8:46 a.m. PST |
For metal, I would go with Old Glory for their 25s, and the Blue Moon 18mm line. Sash and Saber is also a very good value in both 25 and 40mm. |

Many will scoff, but for me, Historifigs. |
nazrat | 22 May 2016 10:06 a.m. PST |
For me it's AB. Even though the models are actually more expensive than other 20mm WW II stuff it is still the best price (or value) considering how happy I am with my purchases. |
Beaumap | 22 May 2016 10:27 a.m. PST |
Perry must win for their fair prices set alongside their great sculpts. Unfortunately I am not that into the periods they prefer, or already have satisfactory armies in a period – by others. |
Yesthatphil | 22 May 2016 1:51 p.m. PST |
Soft plastic 1:72 and metal 15mm win pretty much hands down on value … Best value for quality sculpting are probably the Ochmann designed feudal, and e.g. Gothic figures from Gladiator/Black Hat (I think Mike still has them at 10 for £3.00 GBP which compares very favourably with, say, Essex @ £3.50 GBP for 8*) Museum Miniatures have a great range @ 8 for £2.50 GBP … Their Landsknechts are top notch … Beats everyone in town for value when they have one of their sales, of course. … and I still have a soft spot for Peter Pig (best WWII figures around in my opinion) … Phil *making Essex almost 50% more expensive!! |
Wulfgar | 22 May 2016 8:51 p.m. PST |
Quality and good service make higher prices worthwhile. AB for Napoleonics. Peter Pig for, well, a lot of eras. I think that there are three excellent Italian companies that are often forgotten: Baueda and Strategia Nova for the wonderful figures sculpted by Marco Campagna, Legio-Heroica, and Venexia. I just realized that, except for my Peter Pig Sengoku era Japanese, which I adore, most of my figures are by Italian sculptors, and sold by Italian companies. |
