Am considering a foray into 15mm sci if and remember the rules Laser Burn from my youth… I never played them. Are they any good? |

Laserburn (one word) they are fine – bit old fashioned is all. Try the 15mm.co.uk site for the miniatures |

And if you go in another direction, 'Try the 15mm.co.uk site for the miniatures…' ;->= I don't have a lot, but like what I do. Doug |

And don't forget to check out Ion Age as well. Great Minis supported by several rules sets. |

Laserburn is very fun and surprisingly flexible, but it IS very old school. Percentile dice, hit locations, lots of dice rolls for everything. It sits as a sort of cross between RPG's and miniatures (and the cover originally labelled it as a role playing game in fact). We play fairly frequently and always have a good time. |

You could also try Imperial Commander, the mass battle rules using the Laserburn setting. Lots of fun and faster than Laserburn. |

Imperial Commander is probably a better SYSTEM than Laserburn yeah. There's an updated (and much expended) game "inspired" by it called Beamstrike, which we used to play a lot. Google it, its free out there. |

Green Tiger, there are A LOT of 15mm systems out there. If your happy with laserburn thats 100% cool but perhaps if you let us know exactly what you want from a game we can give you a few exmples. |

Well simplicity is good so maybe not Laser Burn… I was looking for small unit futuristic combat… |

I love FUBAR one page rules for sheer simplicity but anything from Nordic Weasel over on Wargames Vault is easy to play and there are a few games that have the RPG flavour you might be looking for in Laserburn |

Though designed for 6mm the rules look to work well with 15mm. link Most rules will work in 15mm, we do not change the ranges from the 28mm riles as the longer effective ranges feel better. |

Yeah, huge fan of using 15mm figures with 28mm ranges. Ditto for 6/10mm figures in 15mm sets. |
