Ceteshwayo had expressed disappointment that his men after Islandlwhana, had brought no captive British officers. So what-if the Prince Imperial, instead of being killed had been made captive? Would this have any impact on the further conduct of the war? |

I occasionally use the Prince Imperial in my games, as a special character worth points to the Zulus for killing or capturing, while the British player tries to safeguard him -- meanwhile, the prince is trying hard to win glory, so he courts danger. |

I've toyed with the idea for a different kind of "Zulu What-If." Imagine if the Europeans had never invaded Africa. The Zulu Empire might have eventually gone north only to run into the Mahdist forces heading south. It could make for an interesting battle. |
