Today a report about one of the two remaining border towers in eastern Germany.
You'll get information about border surveillance baltic coast, the border tower itself, escapes and escape attempts, opening the border, propagandamaterial for the soldiers of the baltic border.
Small introduction in german. The documentation in the museum is in german and english. You can see it in the pictures.

My German Launguage-Fu is non-existent. Does anyone know where there might be dimensioned drawings of the border towers online? Documents on the cylindrical tower type would be great, but any others would at least be a start.

The is an abundance of photography of "The Wall" (and the Border generally)from then and now, but not a lot of numbers to work with (in English anyway).

I'm happy to blunder my way through German source material, I just can't get to it, to start with.

Thanks in advance.
