So what is the situation with the Olympia? A google search indicates that it will remain in Philadelphia, and that they will lunch a fund-raiser to help it? Anyone have any more information?

For the past few years there has been a games day held on Olympia around the date of the Battle of Manila Bay. In part to raise funds for restoration work. Last year we confirmed that she was now part of the Independence Seaport Museum in Philadelphia.

Yes, they have been doing critical waterline repairs using a new method in preparation for towing to a dry dock eventually
