Based on the Wargames Illustrated Survey of Manufacturers we get figures from – I was disappointed to see all scales lumped together…

Thought it would be interesting to see a sample of the poll from TMP based just on 15-18mm figures

So my top ones for 15-18mm armies

Dixon – Indian Mutiny
AB – ACW
Old Glory – ACW
Matchlock – ECW
Two Dragons – Samurai
Polly Oliver – AWI
Frontier – AWI
Thistle and Rose – Crusades and Persians

Others on my shelf include
Peter Pig – Colonial
Stone Mtn – Colonial
Essex – TYW and Various periods
Minifigs – various periods
Mikes Models – Various periods
Blue Moon – ACW

What are your favorites?

(Bill – perhaps 1 poll per scale – didn't want to flood the boards)

FWIW, 15mm is a size, not scale (said the old cartographer.)

Actually, I question the whole survey, as to whether or not it can reflect actually the whole of those who game with Historical miniatures.

Personally, I think it did a good job reflecting the UK market, but I question the survey beyond that point.

I have a ton of Freikorps 15mm. of course, they are the only ones making Paraguayan War figures in 15mm, so that explains that.

My favorite 15-18 mm figure manufacturers are:

Blue Moon Late Republican Romans, Gauls & Germans
Xyston Hellenistic & Gallic skirmishers

Old Glory Sponsoring Member of TMP18 May 2016 2:26 p.m. PST

Why in the world would anyone mention Heritage/empire -- who to my knowledge has been gone for years. AND: if you do find them they will fit with nothing today, size wise which will send you off on the "why can't I find anything that fit with these" endless quest?
