Starting up with DBA again, after a hiatus. painting has begun, basing is not far off. What is a good source for steel bases in the US? I like the thinness with 15mm figures and magnetic trips in boxes work great with them.

Jeff is a great source

I remember using that brand in the past, plus he has magnetic sheeting for boxes. Thanks!

Yup – Wargames Accessories. I buy mine via Brookhurst, typically.

I use Wargames Accessories exclusively.

I try to use Wargames Accessories, but my local store has a lot of problems getting restocks from their distributor. I don't know if it's the distributor or Wargames Accessories. I usually end up having to use a base size that's close to but not exactly what I want the store can get (e.g. 1 3/4" instead of 40mm). Hopefully you can find what you need.

As far as I know the bases are not available through distributors. I order mine direct and rarely have a problem. I generally have pretty good stock and even custom orders get a pretty quick turn around:

I think if you look at their site (Wargames Accessories) – they carry stands cut by mm and those cut by inches. link

Order direct from Wargames Accessories – terrific stuff.

Wargames Accessories.

You may have to file the edges a bit so you get the best flat surface contact with the magnetic strips.

I recommend Shogun miniatures as well as Wargames Accessories

shogunminiatures.com

The steel bases are good and the movement trays work very well. He will do custom sizes

I am also happy with the "mag bases" and use them for my 10mm and 15mm figures

Thanks

John

I second the recommendation for Shogun Miniatures. I've been very please with their products and service.
