Hi guys,

if you are interested in Feudal Japan you might like this paper model set. It's the first in a series that will allow you to build affordable yet versatile "Samurai" castles.

This series will contain modular elements, so you can build from small to huge and in different visual styles. Fold flat building is incorporated to allow safe and easy storage.

The first set is all about the Yagura or Tower.

For more details and pictures or if you want to buy it go here.

Next planned are a "Walls and Gates" set and then the "Tenshukaku" or Castle Tower (keep).

If you have comments or feedback or ideas for future expansions let me know :-)

This is great. I priced a resin/MM castle last year and just about choked, and not having one put the lid on a project I was thinking of doing. This might just be the way back to it!

The price factor was one of the reasons why I went with the paper/cardboard approach. I have seen a couple of very nice models out there but to make a full castle would take quite some cash.

I am hoping that with these products, making not only one but even multiple castles in different sizes and designs will become more affordable. And then of course you have the option to extend your valuable resin models.

Also I designed the elements so that you are able to build really sturdy parts. Depending on how many layers you want to use (only outside, outside/inside or with additional intermediate layer for fold flat storage) you could end up with elements that – with proper care – seem to last forever :-) You really have to hold them in your hand to feel it!
