Any chance in the near future of books to use SP2 to smite the heathen Fuzzy-Wuzzies or Afghans? Has anyone tried this with SP1? |

Sp1 has certainly been used for the Indian Mutany. |

There is talk of a future scenario book for post 1865 colonials. There are also SP2 players who are working on army lists on their own and having discussions like this: link This is a discussion re: Sharpe Practice 1 in the late 19th century. link |

SP2 has Mutiny in the main book lists. Rich is planning later colonials but it needs ways to handle Sudanese and Zulus etc better. |

I used 'Sharp Practice 1' for the colonial New Zealand Wars. I even wrote an SP scenario for this period: PDF link I've bought SP2, but haven't tried it out yet. |

Used SP1 for Indian NWF. Looking forward to using SP2 for the same. Waiting for the rules to arrive and will probably just reduce the actions required to reload breech loading rifles. But even with the advent of magazine rifles the British used controlled vollies to conserve ammo. |

Actually it doesn't cost any additional action to reload breechloaders in SP2. So they already fire quicker than rifled muskets which need an action to reload. The challenge for a Colonial supplement is also about reflecting the change in fire tactics following the widespread adoption of breechloaders which differ markedly from those employed in the classic black powder period the rules are aimed at. I'm sure it can be done but it does require thought. John |
