Phil, my co-player has touched up an X-Wing – rather splendid don't you think?

I do indeed!

By the way, how were your fighters 'tricked out'? Any special cards besides the basic pilots?

Must say, the AI for the Ties is very cinematic; mostly oblivious until stirred up. ;->=

Apparently properly challenging, of course. I REALLY must give them another look.

Thanks!

Actually, we just used Red squadron x's and Black squadron Ties, we didnt have any special abilities and the Imperials dont react in my solo rules till within clear view of an enemy within 24"
My solo rules are on our club website: link

Have looked, have printed, haven't tried yet. To tell the truth, haven't done but a couple-three games of X-Wing, but I think this may be the proper companion to Yarkshire Gamer's campaign set up.

Slow advancement earned, not purchased, but only on the rebel side.

I have a plan; you can trust me.

*herkybird,
If thats "just a touch up", I can only imagine what your friend / Phil could do with it, if he 'took his time'. Beautiful.

The problem is with your flash. It's too bright and not diffusing enough.

As a simple and inexpensive first step, stick a piece of Scotch tape over the flash. That will diffuse and soften the light, which should make a huge difference. You may need to experiment with transparent vs. semi-transparent vs. satin tape.

If that doesn't work, get a bunch of cheap LED lights and arrange them all around the room, probably 2/3 to 3/4 of the way up the walls. (Your gaming space is probably too dark for good photography.) The brighter the room is compared to the flash, the better everything will turn out. You want light from all directions to prevent strong shadowing. You may want to aim the LEDs at the walls and let the bounce really diffuse the lighting--that will also prevent glare in players' eyes if the LEDs don't have shades--or you can make simple shades with wax paper and coat hangers.

You know Wargamers are funny lot – speaking about me here.

I've loved Wings of War/Glory since it came out but X-Wing ?

Mind you I've never been tempted by the WW2 version either, guess I'm just a Biggles at heart! :o)
