I am looking for about 10 Pontoonier Gurkhas to finish my unit. The Newline webpage only lists two command sets. I don't think they are in production any longer. I am willing to pay cash or trade for the needed figures but do not require any of the command figs. Any help appreciated.

If you have no luck, just wait a short while. Pontoonier/Badger Miniatures is starting up again. Third time's the charm, right Ben?

Those are gorgeous Gurkhas. I'm thrilled with my 2 units of 'em.

Well, I'm relieved. I thought you were looking for Gurkhas to man a pontoon bridge. Rather beneath their dignity, I suspect.

I did not think they made Ghurkas but rather Bengal sepoys wearing the pill box cap. Do they have Kukris? I have some of the Britsh infantry and they are very nice.

They do make Gurkhas with the kukri. The faces look very "ethnic" for the lack of a better word.

Yup, they are IMHO the best 25mm-28mm Gurkhas on the market -- well, used to be, until the supply of them dried up. I envy you, your 2 units worth, Chick!

If Cyrus the Great is correct, perhaps they shall become available once again.

Or maybe Artizan Designs will release their Second Afghan War Gurkhas before then? It could happen… or not. It's frustrating when a figure range takes longer to be released than the war it's made for lasted in real time -- especially when it lasted for a few years. I suppose it's even more frustrating when a nice range of figures -- like these Pontoonier Third Burma War Gurkhas -- just disappears, despite the company ostensibly still being in existence.

If Pontoonier sees this thread, I too have money burning a hole in my pocket, ready to be spent on your skirmishing and firing Gurkhas, to go with the still-available command… reach out and sell to us, we beseech you!

Rhingyll – I think I may have some spare. I will root around in the lead pile. Charging OK?

Eclaireur – Yes thanks. I am looking for any poses other than command figures. Let me know. I might have something you might be interested in to trade for them or i can pay cash.

I've had a root around. I've got 7 of them :-) If that's of interest let's take it offline ec_laireur at hotmail dot com.

Pontoonier was a very promising manufacture that fade to a ghost manufacture…i've read that they also made some US/native troops for the Philippino Insurection of which i could be very interesting-….but what about Pontonier?…any reliable updated news o how to see a list and purchase his products?
