Howdy, Well, we have our first miniatures battle of the campaign. Hardee's Corps (Cleburne & Stewart's Divisions) attacks elements of Thomas' XIV Corps (Rosseau's Division and Wilder's Brigade) at Hoover's Gap. Thomas will be reinforced by Brannon and VanCleve's divisions. Van Cleve from Crittenden's XXI Corps. In other action this turn, Wheeler's Cavalry – tired from the raid on Hoover's Gap last turn, was pushed out of Manchester by Negley and Reynold's Divisions. Wheeler retreats to Tullahoma. There are still significant forces out of sight of the enemy, so I can't yet post a situation map. Perhaps next turn. Fun times. I've posted notes & map for the battle in the V&B Yahoo Group. The miniatures battle is planned for the 28th. More to come … Ponder on, JAS

Howdy, Federal position in Hoover Gap (Thomas with Rosseau's Division and Wilder's Brigade).
Thomas was reinforced by Brannon and VanCleve. Hardee could not drive them off, and retreated to Shelbyville. More to come … JAS

Howdy, Oh yeah, Wheeler was holding against Negley's Division, but when Reynolds arrived, it was too much. Wheeler retreated to Tullahoma. We go to Turn 4. Ponder on, JAS
