If you want to see a lot of DH activity, what are the best topics to start a TMP thread with?

Some suggestions:

Was Patton a better general than Montgomery?

Was slavery the only factor in bringing about the Civil War?

I never really studied the Napoleonic wars, so I don't know enough about them to start a real wizz-bang thread. Maybe suggesting that he was a blood thirsty tyrant would do the trick.

Why do wargamers insist on judging historical figures by modern morals instead of that from their own time?

I thought Ultra Modern was supposed to be the Dawghouse bait? So in the interest of acting like those before us, should we start the 'ban the Napoleonic boards' topics to keep the kids from hurting themselves like we heard nearly constantly about Ultra Modern?

It seems like people can lose decorum despite the topic at hand.

Actually those threads on several forums went surprisingly well despite the obviously baited comments… But, boy howdy, the potential flame wars!

All of the above are nearly sure things.

The Napoleonic Boards now rarely produces the type of responses that lead to the DH. There have been a string of losses from TMP that have cleared the worst offenders from the boards. No more Mad Hoffy for example.

There are a few of the Idiot Tendency that still tag-team anyone that suggests that First Empire was anything any a utopia and anyone one who opposed it was (a) evil or (b) in the pay of the British, or (c) both.

Those of us who differ in view know enough to keep our tempers and snark under control and circumnavigate the DH.
