Has anyone used these rules, to represent alien races, ie Eldar, Orks, etc? I enjoy the basic concepts of the rules, I have played the Blitzkrieg Commander WW II rules and I like them very much. However, I own several Epic 40K armies and I'm interested in trying another set of rules?

There are army lists in the rules for various not-40k races.

I've played it with Orks, Eldar and Space Marines. The Orks get slaughtered. Like really slaughtered. We took 2200 pts of Orks in a game against 1500 pts of Space Marines.

The Orks killed 2 stands of marines before they were wiped out.

Its a great concept but some of the army lists are REALLY broken. I had some hope when it changed hands that the new owners might fix some of the more broken lists, but so far, no dice.

Hasn't there been fan replacements for quite a few? I recall seeing a whole bunch floating around but I didn't save the links.

@DontFearDareaper:

The FWC rules are unfortunately the last in the queue to get the revamp treatment, so the new version won't be appearing until sometime in 2017 I'd think.

The army lists will get a complete overhaul at that stage as well.

In Future War Commander, Space Marine are more like in the 40k' fluff, and they're killing machines.

Fair enough Leon, I will take a second look at the rules once you get them revamped.

I like the Commander series. For me the only thing I dont like is when I play, a certain opponent will consistantly roll mutiple orders in the same turn despite the progressive penalty. " I need a two to shoot for the zillionth time this turn at your divivsion" BOOM! snakeeyes.Happens every time.

I think the FWC are pretty well done … But yes, as with a lot of GW stuff, IMO it does not translate over well to better rule systems without some "morphing" …

I think I will try Epic Armegedon first. Guys, thanks for the imput.

That is the best iteration of Epic …
