Heroscape: Road to the Forgotten Forest

It's a terrain expansion for Heroscape, but will non-Heroscape gamers be attracted by the trees?

I finally managed to get around to repainting my SAGA Scots.

I'm not the kind of person that usually repaints models. I have so many unpainted models that it isn't worth my time to repaint already painted models. However, these were a special case. These models had been painted up for my warband and instead of applying a dull coat, I sprayed them with a can of silver spray paint.

True story. It was a bad day.

Well after about 2 years, I finally pulled these guys out and put some paint over the silver.

They turned out pretty decently.

I've got pictures of the rest of my Scots posted on my blog if you are interested. link

They look great! Don't sweat the tartan. Dark Age Scota are a bit early for it. I did some stripes on some of mine. But, most are just solid colors.

Did that once myself about 20 years ago – you did a great job!

@Stosstruppen: I am happy with the solid colors. I figured I would make a decent looking model look bad if I tried to paint the tartans so left them alone. You won't really see them anyway on the tabletop.

@Frederick: It seems like once you've done it, you won't make the same mistake again.

Depends how you define "tartan": link

The worst whippin I ever got in Saga was from a Scot army. Yours do look great!

Having heard other paint disaster stories from gamers over the years I developed a little trick that I wanted to pass on. Whenever I used a spray paint, I always start by spraying into the corner of the box holding my figures. This lets me confirm that I'm using the right color and it also lets the spray develop into a constant spray (I'm sure many of you have noticed how splotchy the initial spray can be).

Just wanted to share this tip in case it helps prevent future disasters.
