I'm currently designing some WW2 scenarios for a popular rules set and am looking for something a bit different from British or Russians vs Germans, or Normandy or late war.

I want to design a scenario set in Italy, 1943-44, with Americans v Germans. My group has done some Monte Cassino games in the past, so we're not looking to re-visit that battle, so does anyone have any suggestions for battles or actions in Italy? It'll be a company level battle, not a platoon skirmish or a large, operational battle.

Cheers.

There was a later (ca 2000+) "Forgotten Battles" supplement for Conliffe's Spearhead rules (1997) and three supplements: Africa. Russia and NW Europe.

"Forgotten Battles" has two scenarios each for Sicily and Italy.

Too Fat Lardies (TFL) put out two scenario books for I Ain't Been Shot Mum (IABSM.) One is for Sicily and one is for Anzio.

Another source would be the boardgame Squad Leader. Here is a link to Squad Leader Academy that has tons of scenarios.

Skirmish Campaigns does a Sicily book. They have instructions for expanding scenarios to larger formations as well as adapting the info to various rulesets.
