My mate Roger and I had a fun aternoon in my new shed complex and – aside from taking time out for a slap up lunch at the local cafe – we played a Hammer's Smallers: The Crucible game and, it has to be said, had a jolly old time.

If you call using everything I had in a desperate attempt to stop a Slammers detachment cleaning my Chronometers (and failing) a jolly time!

I do – but then I'm like that: I've never acually minded losing.

Once again, very well done Mr. Treadaway.

Thanks all.

I was pleased with the plastic road in its "double width" configuration (enforced by the bridge width). I just wish I had another set (I will be scouring ebay, methinks wink).

The shots on the third page were almost all taken with my phone and a clip-on lens set and… they're ok. I prefer using a real camera but it's always good to have a back up. And – as the lenses were about 13 quid – I thought them worth a punt.

I must get some Komodos from Brigade (I gave my samples to a club member who was leaving to move north) but I need a heavy advanced TAS force to balance them Slammers up!

PS – just read my text in the first panel: "Hammer's Smallers…? That's fairly embarrassing, as typos go…

RE: "Hammer's Smallers":

I'm new here, so, frankly…? I thought that WAS the title of the game, making reference to the miniatures, and thought it was pretty funny and cool.

Really nice work!

Impressive!

Cheers, RC.

Fantastic looking game. The miniatures are beautifully done.

Thanks again for the comments and @Ragbones the Slammers website I posted has lots and lots of shots of folks' Slammers games from all over (particularly the UK and the US) with great painting and modelling by the respective individual players.

So by all means have a look around the galleries on the site. It's been great to see the enthusiasm of players for the system across the continents and the work they've done on their miniatures and scenery.

Looks like a fun game, even if you did lose. I too don't mind getting my arse handed to me, as long as it's a hoot while happening! I'd love to play on your table some day.

Next time you're in town, sir, my, ummm shed complex is, errr, your casa (or however they say it adjacent to your neck of the woods!).

So, if you're ever over, I'm right up for it!
