Interested on peoples opinions on what might have been used to transport the Army's baggage. Mules, Donkeys, oxen carts? |

Which Bronze Age peoples? Sea People friezes in Egypt give a good idea for that area. Lots of ox carts. |

Porters. People were "cheaper" than animals.

Generally, the Egyptian army on the march disassembled the chariots: wheels were carried on donkeys, men carried the light car bodies. This saved the strength of the chariot horses for battle. 1471BCE Thutmoses III launched his campaign across the Euphrates to the Mitanni homeland, 600 miles from Egypt. Sailed the army up to the Lebanon coast and marched inland from there. The bridging equipment was carried on "chariots pulled by bulls", probably meaning ox wagons. |

Thanks. That helps a lot. I wanted to make some camps and some mobile baggage trains as well. |
