I just finished some Victrix French artillery. A member of another forum I participate in asked me how these compared to some metal counterparts. Awhile ago I did up a battery of Perry artillery. Here are a couple of side by side shots for comparison. The Perry metal figures are on the left, the Victrix plastics on the right. [/URL] I honestly like the plastic guns more than the Perry metal ones. I think the artillerists are a bit more detailed on the Perry side. But all in all, they look good together. You can get a wider variety of poses with the Victrix, to be sure. I used some extra arms from an infantry box to give some of the plastic figures muskets. As far as price goes, I believe the Victrix are about half as much as the Perry figures. |

Hard to tell them apart if you didn't know. |

I also have a Warlord Games RHA battery to compare with the Victrix RFA box. In this case, I think the plastic are better in every category. However, the horse battery is a nice addition and turned out pretty well. Warlord Games metal is on the left, Victrix plastic on the right.
