I need a load of barbed wire/concertina wire for a Vietnam game coming up. In the interest of speed I'm just going with wire coil on base. Fast, cheap and I already have the materials. But at some point I'll want really good looking stuff. How do you do it? |

Vietnam was more coil based. The pencil method would work for Vietnam |

Wrap wire around a biro (to get slight kinks in it). Stick to base (or the coils get very tangled in storage). Job done. I did about 20 feet of wire in 6" sections years ago (enough for a triple trench system) and it has lasted me forever. |

Battlefield Accessories does or did make some fairly nice coil wire. I use it for 20s. Not sore if the coils would be too large for 15s or not. Tom

I use the stuff from Battlefront or GF9. Whatever wire you decide to use I would drop it into a jar of vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, and salt to rust it before use. |

10mm compression springs. You can find them by the bagful online and they hold their shape even if accidentally crushed. I used ball-point pen springs to make triple-standard concertina for 6mm. |
