How does a half-million dollar Kickstarter fail? And why would another company step in and spend six figures to raise it from the dead? link |

Wow. Those shipping costs were mind blowing. And people wonder why there is a reluctance to ship "overseas" and blow gaskets when charged actual costs. |

International shipping is out of sight these days. I used to get people from all over the world having me paint. These days the shipping kills the deal. |

Once the weight goes over a kilo, even by as little as 0.01, the costs go up and up, and up! |

I just got my printed books in the mail. I skimmed through the players guide…. This looks fun. Chris |

Shipping costs may have been high, suggests might have been better to either use surface mail or print some books in more than one location. |

One of the interesting things about the management change is that Sandy Petersen was politely negative about the changes introduced in CoC 7th, now he's back in the driving seat for the game I wonder whether those changes will endure or will they be "ignored" more and more as things go forward. I also hope that now Greg Stafford is back that New material for Pendragon will get produced. |

What college did these idiots graduate from? they need to ask for a refund. give a 50% discount during the KS then give almost free shipping? They get whatever they deserve financially. |

As a long time Co C player, this KS just looked like a bad Idea to me at the time. I'am sure the staff received full pay and bonus during the heady days of cash rolling in. They promised the Moon and Couldn't delivery. Sandy,Greg & company had to pay the price for there foolishness. |

Good lord! It goes from "what were they thinking?" to "were they thinking?" I'm nosing around the idea of doing a Kickstarter for TableMaster II, and I've looked into the prices of international shipping. It's gone through the freaking roof since I used to put copies of TableMaster into Global Priority boxes and send them out for less than it would cost to mail them across town today. (clearly, when TMII launches, electronic delivery is going to be a big thing) Shipping a T-shirt to Japan would cost more than the T-shirt. Checking your shipping rates and charging accordingly is just common sense. How did they get the idea that they could even break even, much less make a profit, on that? Sucks that Sandy & Greg & all had to pay for it, but at least the right people are involved now. Hopefully things will be a lot less stupid. I've only played CoC a few times, and none of those times within the past 20 years, but I remember it as a great game and it deserves better than this kind of epic screw-up. |
